Pootje Geluk's bus
op maat ingericht voor veilig en comfortabel hondentransport
At Pootje Geluk, your dog doesn't just hop into any van. Felicia transports her dogs in a Peugeot Expert that is professionally equipped from front to back with one goal: the well-being and safety of the dogs during transport. Every trip, every day, in every season.
The van is equipped with 10 individual benches from Kelders Kooien — a specialized Dutch manufacturer that has been setting the standard for professional installation in dog walking vans for years. The benches were not simply placed there: they were custom-built into the van, fully tailored to the dimensions of the van and the needs of the dogs.

10 custom-built benches from Kelders Kooien
Kelders Kooien is the leading specialist in the Netherlands for equipping dog walking service vans. The crates in Pootje Geluk's van are fully custom-made and securely mounted — they cannot slide, tilt, or fall over while driving. Each crate has its own door and bars in the rear and side walls, ensuring optimal air circulation in every crate.
Each crate is spacious enough for your dog to lie down, sit, or stand upright comfortably. No cramped positions, no stress due to lack of space. Every dog has its own designated spot — a familiar, defined space that provides calm during the ride.
Comfort in every crate: anti-slip mat, microfiber mat, and cooling mat
Each crate features multiple layers of comfort. At the bottom is an anti-slip mat, ensuring your dog stands stably and does not slide when the bus is moving. On top of that lies a soft microfiber lining — comfortable for the dog and easy to clean after a walk through the woods or dunes.
During the summer months, Felicia places special cooling mats in the crates. These absorb the dog's body heat and ensure that the temperature inside the crate remains comfortable, even on hot days. A thoughtful detail that makes all the difference — especially for dogs that overheat easily.

Electric roof fan and air conditioning: always the right temperature
In addition to the bars in the bench side walls for passive air circulation, the van is equipped with a two-speed electric roof fan — installed by Kelders Kooien at the same time as the benches. This roof fan ensures active air extraction from the van, even when the van is stationary. In combination with the Peugeot Expert's air conditioning, this means a van that is always cool and fresh, from the first to the last trip of the day.
Overheating in an enclosed van is a real risk for dogs. At Pootje Geluk, that risk has been deliberately and structurally eliminated — not with one measure, but with three at once: cooling mats per crate, electric roof ventilation, and air conditioning.
Pet first aid kit, fire extinguisher and bathrobes
You hope you never need them, but I am always prepared. The van contains a complete pet first aid kit in case something happens on the way or during the walk, and a fire extinguisher for extreme emergencies.
After a walk in the rain or along the wet beach, dogs sometimes step back into the bus damp. That is why Felicia always has towels and bathrobes on board — so that the dogs step into the crate dry and warm and don't have to go home shivering.

Every dog has its own designated spot
The fixed installation of the crates does more than just ensure safe transport. They give each dog its own recognizable spot. Dogs already familiar with the bus usually step inside calmly and on their own — the bus becomes a familiar environment instead of something unknown to be afraid of. This was designed this way on purpose, and you can see it reflected in the dogs' behavior.
During the introduction, new dogs are always given time to calmly get acquainted with the bus before they actually go in for the first time. Felicia takes her time with this — no rush, no pressure.
